Felicity Jones to be in THE CHELSEA
Felicity Jones is a serious up-and-comer. She gained acclaim for appearing in last years LIKE CRAZY, and has since been booking a whole lot of work. Soon she will appear in the Ralph Fiennes film THE INVISIBLE WOMAN, next to Ralph himself. But that won't be it for her showing up in films.
She is now attached to star in Nancy Meyer's (director of IT'S COMPLICATED) next film, THE CHELSEA.
The film was written by Meyer's daughter, Hallie Meyers-Shyer, which might just change up the formula a bit. Nancy's films often follow middle-aged, more affluent women in their struggles, but THE CHELSEA is likely to appeal more to a younger crowd. It follows a group of people who live in an apartment complex in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.
I'm kind of curious to see what comes out of this project, as I don't really dislike Meyer's past work, although as a twenty-three year old male, it can be difficult to relate. Hopefully that formula will change with THE CHELSEA. I have no doubt that Felicity Jones could help usher in that change.
