Talk about a way to tease out a new biopic.

A while back, it was revealed that one Peter Evans had finally found a director to adapt his book, Nemesis: The True Story Of Aristotle Onassis, Jackie O, and the Love Triangle That Brought Down The Kennedys in one Fernando Meirelles.  Still hard at work on his film 360, the project stalled. Now, according to Cinema Em Cena (via The Playlist), the director has finally gotten back to work on it.

According to the director’s Twitter feed, NEMESIS has already started filming. He even went as far as to tease out one Michael Fassbender as a possible candidate for the role of Bobby Kennedy. Yeah, amazing, I know.

Now, while Fassy appears to be all locked up with films like THE COUNSELOR and Steve McQueen’s TWELVE YEARS A SLAVE, this is a distinct possibility, as he won’t be jumping into either of those films for a few months.

I think it’s inspired casting, and the role of a lifetime for anyone who nabs it, Fassbender or not. Meirelles is a great director and should do wonders with this type of narrative.

What do you think?
