Finally! SIN CITY 2: A DAME TO KILL FOR casting this week, shooting this summer
I’ll believe it when I actually see it, but at least it appears that the wheels are in motion for the sequel to SIN CITY.
With the world waiting in the wings for a follow up since the first film hit in 2005, the trio of Dimension Films, AR Films, and director Robert Rodriguez’s Quick Draw Productions have announced that a sequel to SIN CITY is not only still in the works, but that it’s heading into production in the very near future.
Entitled SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, the film was conceived by Frank Miller and was penned by the pair of Miller and William Monahan, and is set to start casting this week with a summer shoot date set.
Personally, while some aspects of the original film haven’t aged all that well (I still think that the Bruce Willis storyline could be done away with without much damage), I can’t wait for this film. I’m a massive Rodriguez fan, and this may very well be the type of project that he needs to get back on the right side of the quality spectrum.
