Finally! Trailer for THE GREEN HORNET is here
I love movies that face a lot of problems in their developmental stages. It's always nice to see those movies come out, knowing what they've been through. In the case of GREEN HORNET, you've had pushbacks, trouble with casting Kato and the film's villain, and of course, debates on whether the film would happen at all. Well now, thanks to Yahoo Movies, we have our very first trailer and luckily, it delivers. Check it out after the jump.
Right?! I like it. I like it a lot.
For those of you who aren't aware, the film comes from the 1960's television series by the same name. The original series starred Van Williams as main character Britt Reid and The Green Hornet himself and Bruce mutha-frickin Lee as Kato. The series started as a radio show in the 1930s, then moved into comic books and film serials in the late 40s.
For some reason, the trailer has a sizable amount of negative buzz around it and honestly, I'm not sure why. Let's break this down. This movie has Seth Rogen, with his patented form of comedy that seems to fit fairly well here. This is followed by Christoph Waltz (playing someone named "Chudnowsky"), Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou, Black Beauty (the only car that humbles the Batmobile and explosions), and it's all orchestrated by Michel Gondry! I'm failing to see what's missing from this equation.
