Back in August, we got our first look at PASSION PLAY, a simple picture from the clip below. Today, we get the full clip. It's pretty similar to the photo, but (and this probably goes without saying) brings a certain life and interest to the scene that the photo lacked.

Beyond his performance in THE WRESTLER, I don't really have the soft spot for Mickey Rourke that most people do. And Megan Fox is nice, but I haven't ever taken her seriously as an actress. Having said that, the clip is damned impressive. Any actor that can hold my attention literally without making a sound is mighty talented in my book. That and, for some reason, I'm more attracted to Fox when she has wings. Is that weird?

Check out the clip below, courtesy of ET (the entertainment news program, not the adorable alien).

The film, by Mitch Glazer, follows Nate (Rourke) a jazz trumpet player who has hit hard times. In a search for redemption, Nate finds Lily (Fox), a real life angel. Residing in a side-show circus, Lily begins to fall for the starving artist, and her love is returned to her. When all seems safe, their love is threatened by infamous gangster Happy Shannon (Bill Murray). The cast also includes the talents of Rhys Ifans, Kelly Lynch, Rory Cochrane, and Bud Cort.

Jazz, one of the more free-spirited forms of music, and the circus always go so well together. Both run on entertainment, mystery, and excitement, the two complement each other well, and without much effort. I was definitely impressed with this clip, and now I'm waiting for more.

Going to TIFF? Good news. PASSION PLAY will be playing there, so if you're lucky enough to be there, check it out.
