And the promotion for this thing continues.

Thanks to EW, we have the first clip from what is arguably 2011’s most anticipated film (at least around the web), Terrence Malick’s TREE OF LIFE, and with its world premiere just about a week away, it couldn’t have gotten here at a better time.

The clip clocks in at a minute long, and features the mother of this family, played by Jessica Chastain, watching as her house loses control after the children ask if their father, Brad Pitt’s character, is home. Finding out that he’s on a trip, all hell breaks loose, and that’s basically the premise of this clip. Check it out over at Entertainment Weekly.

Overall, I think the clip itself is really great, but it’s the style that really catches my eye. I think the aesthetic here is so gorgeous, that from the direction to the set design, this little clip is absolutely wonderful. Toss in what should stand to be some great performances, and TREE OF LIFE may be the gem that it has been anticipated to be.
