It seems as though I'm the chosen writer for all things related to the remake of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO here at Gordon and the Whale. I'm not complaining, as it seems that with every new piece of news that arises, my anticipation heightens. With Fincher's recent success on THE SOCIAL NETWORK, all we're waiting for are some glimpses of this remake. Apparently the film is on the fast-track, because we're already getting a couple behind the scenes looks at Rooney Mara as the film's protagonist, Lisbeth Salander.

Well, if you were worried about Fincher taking too many liberties with the story's critical character you can rest easy. It looks like he's left Salander's general aesthetic unchanged. You've got the combat books, pitch black hair, and scattered piercings across her face. I'm excited for an actual production still from the shoot, as it'll give a better look at our favorite rebel. I'm still waiting for evidence of Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist, as he's my favorite character in the stories.
