First Look at The First Avenger; behold Captain America’s costume!
Not 24 hours ago, we brought you the supposed details of Captain America's costume after JoBlo got a sneak peak at a few artist renderings of Chris Evans in the star-spangled suit. But those were mere words...an appetizer to tide over your hungry appetite until the main course arrived. Well, dinner is served!
Thanks to Ain't It Cool News, we are getting a look with our very own eyeballs at the same images peeped by JoBlo a few days ago. Sure, they may still just be mock-ups and not actual photos of Evans in patriotic pants, but they still give us a pretty good idea of what we can expect Cap's threads to look like.
Check them out after the break!
So, now that you've seen them, what do you think? I think they stay true enough to the comics with nods to the real life army gear he adopted (boots, belt, etc). Yet, thankfully they lose the non-realistic elements like the tiny wings, while adding innovative new elements like the M1 Army helmet. And yes, I realize I just described tiny wings as non-realistic which implied that a guy covered in red, white, and blue carrying a huge star-emblazoned shield was somehow realistic.
