First look at THE GIRL hits
Shockingly, following the end of his iconic career, the artist known as Alfred Hitchcock has yet to truly have a narrative, dramatic feature looking at his life, his work, or his career as a whole. However, that’s about to change.
The Daily Mail has our first look at both Toby Jones and Sienna Miller in the upcoming film THE GIRL (hat tip to Cinemateaser). Penned by Gwyneth Hughes, the film will follow Hitch’s relationship with actress Tippi Hedren, star of films like THE BIRDS and MARNIE. Jones plays the filmmaker with Miller in the role of Hedren, and the film joins ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO as two films looking into his career and work.
The film is being set up for the BBC, and sounds like it will be quite an interesting little behind the curtain film. Personally, I think Jones looks a little cartoonish here, but it does seem like there is a lot of tender love and care going into this project. It remains to be seen as to which film will be superior, but this one definitely has a leg up with this killer cast.
What do you think?
