WENN got their hands on a good amount of set photos of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, setting the scene for what we can expect from V-E Day (also known as the fateful day that Germany surrendered to the Allies) and giving us our first actual look at the Marvel Comic adaptation from Joe Johnston (THE WOLFMAN). The photos are sans the star spangled hero himself but there's still a good amount of patriotic colors present due to the copious amounts of British flags waving in celebration in London's Trafalgar Square.

Check out the stills after the break!

Head on over HERE to check out the rest of the photos from the set of CAPTAIN AMERICA.

So, obviously not much in way of big reveals but still gives us a glimpse of costume design, set design, and the over-all look of the film. Initial thoughts? Still not sold on the idea of Joe Johnston at the helm? Or even Chris Evans as Cap? Or do these make your red, white, and blue comic colors run true with excitement?
