First official image and synopsis for THE HANGOVER PART II
Normally, an R-rated comedy doesn't have to go through the same levels of secrecy as the next STAR WARS movie or a highly anticipated comic book adaptation (I'm looking at you, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES), but in the case of THE HANGOVER PART II, plot details have been closely guarded. Seeing how so many of the laughs will be contingent upon surprising and shocking the audience with insane situations and unlikely cameos, it makes sense that the production is making such an effort to keep things under wraps.
We know a few facts already, but now we have the setup and the first image from the film (Galifinakis looks especially ridiculous). Check out the synopsis for the complex plot points of the sequel to the top R-rated comedy of all time after the jump.
In the follow-up to the record-breaking hit comedy “The Hangover,” Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don’t always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.
Just seeing these guys together again will be reason enough to catch the sequel, and here's to hoping Galifinakis - who is quickly becoming the next Bill Murray - gets a lot more screen time in this go-around. Hell, I could even stand a little more Justin Bartha, too. Maybe we'll even get a karaoke scene of "One Night in Bangkok" by Murray Head? Cheers.
