Director Ridely Scott's once planned ALIEN prequel took a turn for original when writer Damon Lindelof (Lost, COWBOYS & ALIENS) came aboard to do some rewrites on Jon Spaihts' (THE DARKEST HOUR) original screenplay. But Scott has stated the film is still injected with "ALIEN DNA" and is somehow still connected to the universe we first found ourselves not being heard in as we screamed way back in 1979.

If these first photos from the film's set tell us anything, that is most definitely the case.

While legendary, Academy Award-winning designer H.R. Giger's work will not be featured in PROMETHEUS, his style and influence look to be all over the walls...literally.

These photos come courtesy of (via Geek Tyrant), who also posted a tiny tease on their website in the form of a thumbnail (it may be small but it is here that you can see the Giger influence in the biggest way) and promised that more are to come in the coming days.

PROMETHEUS stars Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Rafe Spalland. It hits theaters one year from this week.

Details surrounding the film's plot are being kept pretty tight but, as we mentioned, it is known to be loosely connected to ALIEN and its universe. No word on if people will be able to hear other people scream in that space this time around.
