First trailer for Emily Hagins’ MY SUCKY TEEN ROMANCE
Emily Hagins is one of the hardest working filmmakers I've ever met. She writes, directs, edits, and has almost three completed feature films under her name. She has managed to do this before - get this - graduating high school. Are you listening, Hollywood?
Earlier today at Austin's Comic-Con, Hagins showed footage from her third and yet-to-be-released feature, MY SUCKY TEEN ROMANCE. One of our Austinite writers, J.C. De Leon, attended the panel and will be posting an article about it tomorrow.
ROMANCE follows a group of teens attending their favorite sci-fi convention who stand together to save their friend from a pack of thirsty vampires. Hagins has posted the first trailer, which you can see after the break. This young filmmaker is very serious about her craft, and when you watch this trailer, you'll see how much she has grown since her first feature, PATHOGEN, which the documentary ZOMBIE GIRL is based on.
You can follow Emily Hagins on TWITTER. If you are reading this, chances are you're broke like me, but if you cut out that fourth meal from Taco Bell, you can donate some money to her post-production to get some sweet swag and your name in the credits of the film. It's all for a great cause - support independent filmmaking!
