Found Film Friday: The Cat Man

James Wallace

June 24th, 2011

Shot during this year's Cannes Film Festival, San Francisco-based filmmaker Paul Trillo encountered "The Cat Man" - a street performer named Bela Erdei who travels by train for hours so that he may perform with his acting troupe of white house cats. For any cat lover, lover of introspective documentaries, or just lover of things that warm the heart, this is one you're going to want to watch.

For your viewing pleasure, I present to you your Found Film Friday for June 24th, 2011; BELA: L'HOMME CHAT.

Bela: L'Homme Chat from Paul Trillo on Vimeo.

Man, that part where that blue-collared cat starts kissing that red starred-collared cat...I dare you to try not to smile!

Found Film Friday is a weekly series inspired by the neat videos I come across in my frequent perusing of the Internets. Be it short films, animated shorts, fan-made films, experimental films, indie music videos, comedic shorts, a cat playing Rush covers on a mini drum set, or anything else that does not fit into those categories. The world wide web is a treasure trove of the moving image, allowing people all over the world to distribute their cinematic materializations in ways like never before. Thus, I give you Found Film Friday.
