Four more for Redford’s Lincoln project
Robert Redford's latest directorial effort, THE CONSPIRATOR, is collecting an impressive cast. Tom Wilkinson, Evan Rachel Wood, Kevin Kline, and Alexis Bledel are all reported to be attached to the project.
You are probably are familiar with the names of the four new additions to THE CONSPIRATOR cast, and if not, you almost certainly would recognize their faces. Tom Wilkinson is one of the busiest character actors working, appearing in BATMAN BEGINS, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND, and he earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for IN THE BEDROOM. Evan Rachel Wood had significant parts in THE WRESTLER, WHATEVER WORKS, and appeared recently on the popular TV show “True Blood” as Sophie-Anne.
I’m confident that everyone knows who Kevin Kline is, but let me just take this opportunity point out that he was in WILD WILD WEST and FRENCH KISS. Sorry, Kevin, but you did it to yourself. Alexis Bledel is best known as Rory Gilmore from “Gilmore Girls," and she recently starred in POST-GRAD.
It has been previously reported that Robin Wright Penn, James McAvoy, and Justin Long will appear in THE CONSPIRATOR. Big and in-demand names coming aboard for a Robert Redford film is not surprising, given that the man is a cinematic icon, and the cast for THE CONSPIRATOR certainly has a top-notch cast.
