Frank Darabont to Direct Law Abiding Citizen
Looks like Frank Darabont is finally going do a feature that is not an adaptation of a Stephen King Novel (The Mist, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption). He is set to direct Law Abiding Citizen, a $40 million dollar crime thriller starring Gerard Butler. This is one of the first times he will be directing a film he did not also write. In this case, the script was written by Kurt Wimmer, who wrote the very underrated Equilibrium and most recently wrote the film Street Kings. Production is set to begin August 18th in Detroit, so be on the look out for it to hit theatres sometime early next year.
