Channing Tatum

So it’s not only a new dimension that will be added to the newly delayed G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, but even more Channing Tatum.

Deadline is reporting that, coming out of test screenings, the audiences were hoping for more shared screen time between the film’s big guns Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Tatum, but were upset when that wasn’t the case. So now the film will not only be converted to 3D, but will also add more Tatum after reshoots.

Personally, I despise when audiences are given the keys to the kingdom. Now, this film cannot and should not be considered what the studio and the filmmakers behind the work originally intended. Very similar to what happened recently with video game studio Bioware and their beloved but controversial Mass Effect 3 game, in which fans complained so much about the game’s conclusion that the studio went as far as to announce downloadable content to continue the game. This is just proof that in Hollywood, it’s all commerce and no art. It’s a damn shame too, because this is one film I honestly couldn’t wait to see, and now you couldn’t pay me enough to see it.

What do you think?
