Gemma Arterton talks CAPA, co-starring Andrew Garfield
Gemma Arterton is a very hard-working actress, and looking at her list of upcoming films is proof of that. She made quite a splash when she appeared in QUANTUM OF SOLACE (which marked my first time seeing her work), and has since been constantly busy.
Although she has a lot coming down the pipeline, she felt the need to share a little bit about her upcoming film with Michael Mann, CAPA, where she will co-star with SPIDER-MAN himself, Andrew Garfield. Check out what she had to say after the break!
"I’m aiming for even more diversity. Capa [biopic about the combat photographer Robert Capa] is confirmed, so I should be working with your hottest actor, Andy Garfield! [Garfield is lined up to play Capa, Arterton plays his partner, Gerda Taro, the first female photojournalist to cover the front lines of a war] and of course there’s Clash 2..."
It sounds like the kind of film that Michael Mann needs to be doing, as his more recent filmography has been kind of stale. Hopefully the combination of a great cast and interesting story can be enough to make this film stand out from his past films. Mann has his shot at redemption.
