Apparently a new project, from the pen of one Christopher Nolan, has finally found a bit of steam.

According to the Sunday Times (via The Playlist), TAMARA DREWE star Gemma Arterton, who has been on quite a streak this year, starring in films like CLASH OF THE TITANS and THE DISAPPEARENCE OF ALICE CREED, will star in the upcoming film THE KEYS TO THE STREETS. The film’s script was penned by Nolan, who was originally hired to write the film after his debut feature, FOLLOWING. Fox Searchlight was the film’s original backer, and Nolan was attached to also helm the film, but that has obviously fallen apart.

The film is based off of a Ruth Rendell novel of the same name and follows a bone marrow donor, Mary, who falls for a man who she helped save, but who also may not be quite who he says he is. Apparently Nolan’s vision may not be completely planted on the film, as the film’s script has seen revisions from horror writer Michael Stokes. However, I wouldn’t be shocked to see the studio head back to Nolan’s version.

Also on Arterton’s front, she will star in a film called IN WITH OUTLAWS, directed by Richard E. Grant, and is currently meeting with Ridley Scott for his upcoming ALIEN prequels. Personally, I absolutely adore Arterton as an actress, and all three of these projects sound amazing. She is perfect for all three of these films, particularly the ALIEN prequels, and I think is just about spot-on perfect for Ripley. Of course, the Nolan project interests me, but it remains to be seen just how much Nolan there will be on that project.
