George Lucas not bringing back the dead for new films
Well, talk about a fast denial.
On Monday, we heard via the rumor mill that the oft mocked and always insane filmmaker George Lucas was set to not only buy up the film rights to various late thespians (names such as Orson Welles and Barbara Stanwyck were dropped in the original rumor), but was set to place them, thanks to CGI, back in some brand new films.
Honestly, from the outset it seemed like a silly rumor from the mind of seriously trouble person, but whenever the name George Lucas is attached, I think to have a bit of pause is more than justified. I understand that without any evidence confirming a report it may be an ultimately bad idea to take the source on its word, but it’s hard to not believe something, anything really, when Lucas’ name is attached.
That said, there is absolutely nothing to see here, so let’s all go back to a world where we don’t usually talk about Lucas. Hopefully he’ll get the drift and actually get back to making worthwhile films.
