TED is quickly shaping up to be quite a packed motion picture, as Seth MacFarlane seems to really be attempting to go all out on his first feature. Every time we get an update on its current state, I end up feeling more excited about it. This is slightly disconcerting to me, as I’ve never been ashamed of my pure distaste for Family Guy.

Now the cast of TED is getting even better, as Giovanni Ribisi has officially joined the cast.

As we’ve learned in the past, TED is the story of a boy who wishes his teddy bear would come to life and it does, giving him a best friend for life. Apparently at some point the bear becomes famous, that’s where Ribisi comes in. He will be playing the character of Donny, a man who is very obsessed with our furry friend.

Ribisi is the kind of actor who can be trusted in just about any role, even ones where he craves “Unobtainium.” We can be sure that he’ll put his all into the role, and it’s definitely another reason to be excited about TED. MacFarlane is sure to make the most out of the cast and the film.
