See what I did there? Glee is a show about a bunch of high school misfits singing songs for their glee club called "New Directions." The BUFFY reboot will be a new big screen incarnation of the beloved series and original film. So, it's like a new movie and a new direction and then...there is...okay forget it.

Heather Morris might be Buffy in the new BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER movie. Happy now? Read on for more.

When last we heard of the BUFFY reboot, Joss Whedon had turned down the project, which is set to release sometime in 2012. Whit Anderson brought the script to Vertigo with a "new take" on the established story. Is this new angle a melodramatic, cheesy, mess full of auto-tuned singing? Because if so, Heather Morris casting rumors might make some sense. However, this is quickly becoming a "she-said-she-said" scenario.

Anderson posted this on Twitter a week ago...

"We're not even thinking about casting yet...The script isn't even written!"

However, Heather Morris recently exploded with excitement in an interview with Access Hollywood...

"They're considering me! I found out and I almost peed my pants 'cause I was so excited! If they make ['Buffy'] when ['Glee'] is on hiatus, I don't even care what I do, I can just run through the shot and do nothing – even if I'm not Buffy!"

While I'd pay to see Heather Morris running around for no reason, I think she would actually be perfect for the role of Buffy. In fact, Heather Morris is one of the last remaining Glee cast members who I can tolerate. But until the project moves forward we won't have a definitive answer as to what the project is shaping up to be. Until then, you can always watch Glee and Buffy The Vampire Slayer in alternating views...but you probably shouldn't.
