GOODNIGHT MOON rounds out its cast
Whereas most musicians want to get in front of film cameras, that isn’t the case for one punk rock artist.
Elgin James, founder of the Boston rock band, Friends Stand United, has rounded out the cast for his feature film debut, GOODNIGHT MOON. The film is being led by Juno Temple and AnnaSophia Robb and, according to The Playlist, they will be joined by Leslie Mann, Kate Bosworth, Kyle Gallner, and Chris Coy. The film follows two young girls who run away to L.A, with Mann and Bosworth set to play the two girls’ mother and sister respectively, and Gallner and Coy as two guys the pair meet on their way.
The director recently went through the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, which has previously played home to talent like Quentin Tarantino and Darren Aronofsky, so the guy is definitely talented, and with shooting set to begin soon, this is a project that I’m quite interested in. First features are always an interesting film experience, and throw in this rather fantastic cast (particularly with Temple and Mann), and you have a project that is definitely one to look out for.
