To think, what started as a casual conversation between two friends in a movie theater parking lot one August night in 2007 gave birth to this little boy and his marine mammal friend known as Gordon and the Whale. Now three and a half years later, the dream of connecting film lovers and filmmakers has definitely become a reality (that doesn’t mean we don’t still have to pinch ourselves sometimes!).

And it’s all made possible because of the support from anyone who has ever visited this friendly, neighborhood movie website over the years. Both our readers and our writers, past and present, have helped us to swim and stay afloat through rough and calm waters to this milestone of 10,000 posts. But there is absolutely no way we could have done it without each and every one of you. Simply put, thank you. Here’s to 10,000 more…

I am kind of bummed we couldn’t set the fireworks to Katy Perry’s song, but being as we are bloggers, I know the licensing rights for that song were out of budget. Even the version Lea Michelle sings. ;)

Yes, the budget was quite depleted after obtaining the licensing rights for the opening to 2001. You wouldn’t think this but it’s pretty expensive.
