With a fantastic cast and one hell of a director behind it, the upcoming film ALBERT NOBBS has become quite an anticipated motion picture.

Starring Glenn Close, Mia Wasikowska, Jonathan Rhys Meyes, Aaron Johnson, Brendan Gleeson, Janet McTeer, and Pauline Collins, the film is an adaptation of the George Moore short story, and will be helmed by Rodrigo Garcia (MOTHER AND CHILD).  And now, thanks to backers West End Films (via Rope Of Silicon), a new poster for the film has been released, and it’s quite a beauty.

A charming little poster, it is in promotion of a film which follows a “woman who poses as a man in order to find work and survive in 19th century Ireland.” Adapted by writer John Banville, this is definitely one of 2011’s more intriguing smaller pictures, particularly because of the combination of cast, crew and narrative. I’m a huge fan of Garcia as a filmmaker, and this is a really interesting change of pace for the director, one that I think will prove to be truly beneficial to his career.
