Guillermo del Toro on Alfred Hitchcock: Acclaimed director lecturing at TIFF in May

April 10th, 2012

Turn off your cellphones, no instant messaging in class, don't be late, and don't speak out of turn lest your visiting lecturer Guillermo del Toro turn you into some sort of cinematic... demon beast.

The acclaimed director will be offering a series of Master Classes on cinematic icon Alfred Hitchcock at Toronto's Bell Lightbox Theatre over four evenings in May. Del Toro will be in town shooting STILL SEAS (aka PACIFIC RIM) when he's not offering programmed screenings, lively discussions, and a Q&A session. The scheduled lineup includes Hitchcock classics NOTORIOUS, FRENZY, SHADOW OF A DOUBT and NORTH BY NORTHWEST.

Del Toro's alien-invasion flick STILL SEAS is scheduled to open in May, 2013.
