Guy Pearce and Cloris Leachman join MIS-FITS, features original music from M. Ward and Ingrid Michaelson

The only thing better than hearing Guy Pearce has joined a new project, is hearing that that same project will feature original music from two amazing musicians.

According to THR, Pearce will join Cloris Leachman in a new film, entitled MIS-FITS, directed by playwright L.D. Napier, which will follow a detective who searches for people’s lost, dead relatives. Check out the full story, after the break.

Even more interesting, is that the outlet reports that Ingrid Michaelson, the amazing and talented indie singer-songwriter, will be contributing original music to the film, and will be joined on the soundtrack by none other than M. Ward, one half of the great band She & Him.

Personally, this in and of itself makes me more than interested in this project, with or without Pearce’s involvement.  That said, with Pearce connected to the project, you can definitely count me in. The project itself doesn’t sound all that interesting, but you can’t beat a great actor joining a film with a score featuring a few of today’s more gifted musicians.
