Happy STAR WARS Day!

May the fourth be with you! That's right folks...today, May 4th, is the unofficial official day to celebrate everyone's favorite sci-fi series. If you didn't know of "STAR WARS Day", don't feel bad. Your movie geek and STAR WARS nerd cred remains intact. It took a text message from my own mother (who was nice enough to wish me a "Happy STAR WARS Day") for me to be educated on this holiday.

After some deep digging (AKA a search on Wikipedia) I found this explanation on the history of the day to celebrate the wars that occurred amongst the stars.  It would seem that someone long, long ago (most likely in a galaxy far, far away) just decided that today should be the official day to celebrate the films based on the single fact that they had a catchy pun to accompany it. SEE: "May the 4th be with you."

In reality, May 25th is more of an appropriate day to be "STAR WARS Day." If you remember your film history, this is the date that A NEW HOPE was released in the year of our lord 1977.

Let's celebrate by commenting back with our favorite scene from STAR WARS. I'll start us off. The moment, also known as "Binary Sunset," where Luke walks out of his house to gaze at the two Tatooine sunsets accompanied by John Williams moving score. It gives me chills everytime. Or when Han shot first ;)
