Love him or hate him, there is no other filmmaker quite like Harmony Korine.

Just a while back, we told you about a new project that the auteur (and I will defend that title being given to the filmmaker until my last breath) was working on in correlation with the Rotterdam Film Festival. Well, now we know what the hell that film will be, and it’s not only got an amazing title, but some rather interesting stars.

During an interview with Pitchfork (via The Playlist), South African hip hop duo Die Antwoord revealed that they are indeed working on the upcoming short film, entitled WAT KYK JY, which according to the male part of the group, Ninja, “means ‘watcha lookin’ at?’ – which I tattooed onto my penis as well.” Would you expect anything less from someone working with Korine?

The film is part of the Cinema Reloaded program that the festival sponsors, and will screen at the festival come January. While we don’t know much else about the project, it does follow two other pieces from the director, TRASH HUMPERS and ACT DA FOOL, which have seen releases in the past few months. I’m a massive fan of the director, so anything that comes from him will be welcomed by this writer.
