Harold Ramis says we can expect GHOSTBUSTERS 3 by Christmas 2012
I ain’t afraid of no ghosts. What I am however afraid of is no GHOSTBUSTERS 3 for awhile. But it turns out, we may not have to wait as long as we may have thought for the further adventures of those ghost bustin’ dudes.
According to writer/star Harold Ramis, our stockings will be filled with slime come 2012, as that’s when they are planning to release the film:
“Well, there’s been a lot of talk about a third Ghostbusters film, which has now become real. It’s… I can say with some certainty that there will be a third movie. It won’t be out until Christmas 2012, but the work is going on now.”
As Ramis points out, there has been quite a good game of back and forth in respects to the film and whether it was ever going to actually materialize or not. Seems like with most of everyone signed on – even Bill Murray – the third film in the series is even more real than the Scoleri Brothers and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man combined.
So we have a confirmation. We have a tentative release date. How long till they announce that it will be in 3D?
