Apparently so.

Variety is reporting that relative unknown Chris Diamantopoulos is in the top slot to take on the role of Moe in the upcoming Farrelly brothers-directed take on THE THREE STOOGES.

The film, being set up over at Fox, will feature Will Sasso (Curly) and Sean Hayes (Larry), in what has been described as a feature film comprised of different vignettes, following the characters from their days in an orphanage.

At this point, nothing has been set in stone quite yet, but while his name is not all that well known, he does have a lengthy IMDb resume. Best known for turns in TV shows like 24, The Starter Wife, and a small role as Frank Sinatra in The Kennedys, he does have quite a bit of experience, and fits the role, physically, quite well. I’m not familiar with much of his work, but it does seem like a really interesting fit for the film, and one that actually makes me quite interested in seeing just what this guy can do.
