Has Quentin Tarantino’s spaghetti Western found a title?

So much for A SOUTHERN.

Apparently, Uma Thurman wasn’t speaking about that two word combination when it comes to the title of director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film.

Thanks to a Twitter account known as AgentTrainee (via /Film), a photo has hit the web, that sees the words DJANGO UNCHAINED, placed directly above the words “written and directed by Quentin Tarantino,” much like the cover page for Tarantino screenplays like INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.

A few things are interesting to note. The film references the 1966 spaghetti Western, DJANGO, that stars Franco Nero, who will also be seen in this film. Also, this has been long rumored to be set during the time of slavery, so the title may be hinting at something of that sort.

Overall, while it hasn’t been confirmed, that sure as hell looks like a solid title. Personally, I think this could be an absolutely fantastic film. It’s been something that Tarantino has had on his mind for some time now, so it will be interesting to see what he’ll do with a film like this.
