“How I Met Your Mother” gets two more seasons

How I Met Your Mother is one of the only sitcoms that I really follow closely. Even though the show is currently in its sixth season, it still has my attention, even if it has lost some of the luster it once had in the past several seasons. Some shows stay close to the heart though, and with CBS' glory child Two and A Half Men having a foggy future, it makes sense they would put faith into a solid show.

That's why CBS has picked up HIMYM for another two seasons.

For the upcoming two seasons, the entire cast will be returning to help in the efforts of finding Ted's future wife, or in Barney's case, trying to scare her away. This is the most comforting aspect of this deal, as the show couldn't go on if even one of the main cast left the show.

The ratings for the show are still really solid, so hopefully this deal gives them the ability to bring us some really great content. Maybe another great guest role. My only worry is that Ted may never meet Mother at this point. Poor guy.

I can certainly tell you one thing, I'll be tuning in. What do you guys think? Do you still watch HIMYM?

This is just a great show, and this season has been no exception. One of the best on TV for all six of the seasons it’s been running, consistently funny and when they need to do somethig hard and with heart, like the recent episodes about Marshall’s dad dying, they NAIL it. As a DISH customer/employee I’ve been using my Logitech Revue with Google TV to watch the show and simultaneously search online for updates, which is how I ended up here. Love the site!
