If you’re Charley Brewster, Dave Franco might steal your lunch money in FRIGHT NIGHT

Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are already signed on for the FRIGHT NIGHT remake. Dave Franco just decided to come aboard, too. According to Franco, via The Playlist, he will play "the arrogant asshole-bully" in FRIGHT NIGHT, who torments our new Charley Brewster (Yelchin). "Anton plays the main kid so I’m his nemesis at school until he runs into Colin who is supposed to be the ultimate bad guy in the movie. Yeah I play the dick, so it’s fun.”

Just Jared's exclusive chat with the Scrubs star also revealed why Franco thinks FRIGHT NIGHT will stand out amidst all the other vampire-centric entertainment out there at the moment.

"This one will stand apart because it’s a comedic horror movie," explains Franco. "The same thing as DRAG ME TO HELL and SHAUN OF THE DEAD. I don’t think anybody’s made a vampire movie from that angle yet."

Maybe not lately, but Franco and company should go back and watch LOVE AT FIRST BITE and ONCE BITTEN. Heck, maybe even INNOCENT BLOOD. Of course, none of those films are truly scary. Maybe this new remake can walk the line between "Fright Night" and "Saturday Night."
