Incredible new poster for BURIED (now with more Saul Bass inspiration)
Huge thumbs up to whoever conceived of and crafted this amazing new poster for the upcoming Ryan Reynold-starrer (no, really, just Reynolds) BURIED. It smacks of that classic Saul Bass/Alfred Hitchcock look and will most likely end up on film geeks’ walls for many years to come (stick it next to your VERTIGO poster, and you’re golden). It also furthers the claim that the film is much more than just your run-of-the-mill “dude trapped in a box” flick we’re seeing so much of these days.
BURIED will open in limited release on September 24, and will go into wide release on October 8. I am practicing breathing techniques already. Practice yours while reading James' Sundance review of the film HERE. And check out the full poster after the break!
And, if you're feeling particularly Bass-ian on this Friday afternoon, I've pulled together a few clips from the opening credits for three Hitchcock films that Bass created. Why don't you make it a nice night in and cue up one of these classics? May I suggest NORTH BY NORTHWEST (I'll always suggest NORTH BY NORTHWEST, by the way)?
