I don't think anyone joins the police force to sit behind a desk all day. But that is just what has become of police officers played by Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and his partner Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) in THE OTHER GUYS.  They are not content to let the big shots Danson and Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson) get all the glory, and they take measures into their own hands. The pair find their opportunity to get a taste of the spotlight with a case no one else wants, but things don't go as smoothly as planned.

Columbia Pictures has released an international trailer for the buddy cop comedy THE OTHER GUYS starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. The film will be released stateside on August 6, 2010. The new trailer shows us more action than the previously released domestic trailer. I think this one does a better job of presenting the comedic elements of the film as well.  You can see the trailer after the jump.

In addition to the actors mentioned above, THE OTHER GUYS stars Lindsay Sloane, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, and Ray Stevenson. The film is directed by Adam McKay, who brought us the hilarious ANCHORMAN and STEP BROTHERS.
