International X-MEN: FIRST CLASS trailer nukes your cynicism

Well, stab me in the gut and nuke me stupid, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is really shaping up to be something worth anticipating. It's been a rocky road for the franchise in recent years, but it seems like director Matthew Vaughn has finally ironed out what an X-Men film should be about: science, debate, and explosions.

The new international trailer has all three of these things in heavy doses (it even adds sex, which is never unwelcome). Check out it out after the break.

This trailer is the same as the Russian version released a while back but without the dubbed language, which was hilariously ironic. Thanks to Twitch for the embed.

I am pretty sure 85% of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS takes place on an airplane or in a castle, but that's still an upgrade from previous X-MEN films (all of which took place in my nightmares). I really do love how much they're pushing the Professor X/ Magneto relationship as a central part of the events in the film. Previous X-MEN films dropped a lot of this in an effort to give Wolverine more screen time, which was a blessing and a curse.

Here's to hoping FIRST CLASS keeps up the momentum displayed in these trailers and delivers something truly enjoyable.

Most excited for Jennifer Lawrence and Jason Flemyng as Mystique and Azazel, but the rest of the cast is top notch.
