While GHOSTBUSTERS 3 is doing whatever it is that it is doing, Ivan Reitman is developing other films to direct. One of those being BIG IN CHINA, an adaptation of journalist turned musician Alan Paul and his memoir Big in China: My Unlikely Adventure Raising a Family, Playing the Blues and Reinventing Myself in Beijing.

After relocating to Beijing when his wife became The Wall Street Journal’s China bureau chief, Paul formed a blues band with a young Chinese guitar shop owner, two other Chinese musicians, and the U.S. Treasury representative to China only to find themselves becoming a national musical sensation.

THR reported that Reitman's Montecito Pictures acquired the film rights to the story of personal transformation, with the project currently seeking writers. Mr. Reitman, may I suggest a young writer by the name of Jason Reitman. This seems like the right story for his style. Oh, and heck, while you're at it why don't you let the kid direct?

Check out Paul's band, Woodie Alan, here on their official site.
