I want to hop on the rumor train, only because I really enjoy the Jack Ryan films. I grew up with my mom watching HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER all the time, to the point that, when I think of Sean Connery, I think of the stone cold captain Marko Raimus. Not to mention that was one of my first introductions to Alec Baldwin.

So what is on the rumor slate today? Apparently, Jack Bender is “a cat’s breath away from landing the job” as director of the next Jack Ryan adventure.

Who is Jack Bender?  Let me answer your question with a question.

Ever heard of a little TV show called Lost? Well, Jack Bender is someone who not only helped produce some of the episodes, but also directed many of them. According to Lost fans, he has directed some of the best ones. This news sounds like we are closer to finding out hard facts coming about for this film, and with Bender behind the cam I think we are in for a Jack Ryan film to look forward to.

The plot for the film has Jack Ryan, a former Marine, working as an analyst for a Russian billionaire. However, Ryan is soon accused of being involved in a terrorist plot and is forced on the run. Chris Pine has been reported to be the new Jack Ryan and MOSCOW is rumored to be the film's title. Let's hope we have more details soon.
