Jack O’Connell, Sheridan Smith, and Russell Tovey join UK thriller TOWER BLOCK
Doctor Who and Torchwood fans rejoice.
Screen Daily is reporting (via The Playlist), that the trio of Jack O’Connell, Sheridan Smith, and Russell Tovey have joined the cast of the upcoming thriller, TOWER BLOCK. Penned by James Moran, who has various credits to his name including work on both aforementioned shows, the film will be helmed by Ronnie Thompson and James Nunn, and will also feature actor Ralph Brown, rounding out the principal cast.
The thriller will follow a group of people within Tower Block 31, who are targeted a year after witnessing a murder.

I’m not too familiar with these actors or much of their work, save for O’Connell, who is best known for his work on the UK version of Skins. I think the premise is really interesting, and while it remains to be seen just how this recent influx of UK thrillers like ATTACK THE BLOCK can fair stateside, this definitely sounds like a winner.
