Jake Johnson and his mustache cast in 21 JUMP STREET
Jake Johnson and his mustache will join Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Rob Riggle, and Dave Franco in the big screen take on the late 80s/early 90s cop show 21 Jump Street. A cop film seems like a perfect place for Johnson's mustache but, seeing as how the youthful popo are supposed to blend in at high schools, he may have to lose the fuzz to be a fuzz.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller (CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS) are directing with a screenplay from Hill and Michael Bacall (SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD). Filming begins this month.
Since playing the reel version of the film's real director Nicholas Jasenovec in 2009's PAPER HEART, Johnson has compiled quite the impressive repertoire including GET HIM TO THE GREEK, NO STRINGS ATTACHED, Max Winkler's CEREMONY not to mention upcoming TV gigs in Jonah Hill's animated Allen Gregory and Chicks and Dicks opposite Zooey Deschanel.
