James Franco to focus on THE ADDERALL DIARIES?
Pay attention, you stupid ADHD wiener spawns, James Franco is going to make a movie about you and you're going to sit still and watch it if it's the last thing I do! Stephen Elliott's popular (?) novel The Adderall Diaries: A Memoir of Moods, Masochism and Murder has been dropped into the lap of James Franco and will soon be headed to a lap near you...if you happen to be watching a movie off of your iCrotch.
Variety is reporting that Franco has optioned the novel and may possibly be interested in writing, directing, and starring in it as well. Suck it, Zach Braff.
The Adderall Diaries details the story of a man addicted to the popular ADHD medicine Adderall. In the midst of his pill-fog, our hero discovers that his father may have committed a murder and is also dealing with the issues stemming out of angry sex. Sounds like a Kanye West song.
Franco seems to have found something film-worthy within the text because this type of project dedication would take a lot of time out of the already busy actor's schedule. With lots of Oscar buzz emanating off of his latest film, 127 HOURS, this could be the perfect time for Franco to petition for a creative license to make this passion project. I can see it now, viral marketing for THE ADDERALL DIARIES comes with a free ticket to the movie and a bottle of heavy-dosage ADHD sedatives so you can feel like you are truly a part of the film.
