JAWS to hit Blu-ray on August 14, 2012

Just in time for summer beach season, Universal Home Video has announced that Steven Spielberg's JAWS will hit Blu-ray on August 14, 2012. Not content with just a digitally remastered and fully restored picture, the Blu-ray will include a number of special features, including  a featurette on the legacy of JAWS, deleted scenes and outtakes, and a featurette on the restoration process.A complete list of features and trailer for the Blu-ray can be found after the jump.

This restoration is one of thirteen classic Universal films selected to be remastered, and is part of Universal's 100th Anniversary celebration.

The JAWS Blu-ray™ Combo Pack is available in collectible Universal 100th Anniversary packaging for a limited time. The Combo Pack also contains a Digital Copy of the film for a limited time, compatible with iTunes®, iPad®, iPhone®, iPod™ touch, Android or online retail partners, as well as an UltraViolet™ copy.
