Action heroes of yesteryear, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren, will reprise their super soldier roles in UNIVERSAL SOLDIER IV. The pair came out of UNIVERSAL SOLDIER retirement last year for UNIVERSAL SOLDIER III (also known as REGENERATION or A NEW BEGINNING).

We caught up with that ole' Viking at Fantastic Fest and spoke to him about returning to the role of Andrew Scott, which you can check out HERE. You can also check out my review of the film HERE. Spoiler alert: I actually liked it.

REGENERATION helmer John Hyams will return to the director's chair for the film, which will apparently be in 3D. Yeah, yeah...another action film in 3D. Big surprise, right? Wrong. The third film went straight-to-DVD, so unless their planning for a theatrical release on this one, we may have one of the first cases of straight-to-DVD 3D with UNIVERSAL SOLDIER IV. And if that's true, then the terrorists really have won.
