Can this project get any more odd?

With a cast already led by the trio of Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, and Chris Diamantopoulos, as well as the supporting cast including Sofia Vergara, Jane Lynch, Larry David, and Stephen Collins, not only did the upcoming Farrelly brothers-helmed THE THREE STOOGES get a lot more Oscar-filled, but also a lot more interesting.

Deadline has revealed that Jennifer Hudson has joined the films cast in the role of Sister Rosemary.

For those who may not remember, STOOGES will follow the trio of dimwits as they start out in an orphanage, through a collection of three shorter stores. Now, while she’s been mainly focused on dramas post-DREAMGIRLS, this is definitely an intriguing move for the young thespian, who will next be seen in the upcoming biopic, WINNIE, looking at the life of Winnie Mandela. Personally, I think she’s one hell of a singer and one hell of an actress, so I really love this move. I’m not sold on this project as a whole, but the weirder the cast gets, the more interested I get in it.
