Jennifer Lawrence in talks for Oliver Stone’s SAVAGES
Just moments after the release of the trailer for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, Mystique herself, Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, has apparently nabbed herself a role in a film from one of the most polarizing figures in the film world.
Deadline is reporting that Lawrence is in talks to star in SAVAGES, the next film from director Oliver Stone.
Based on the Don Winslow novel, the film follows “a Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid-style love triangle between two best friend pot growers and O, the wild child girlfriend they share. O will be played by Lawrence.”
Apparently Stone has met with actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Aaron Johnson, Tom Hardy, James Franco, and Garrett Hedlund to star as the two male leads in the film, and while no news on that front has been announced, this is sounding like one hell of a film.
I’m quite a fan of Stone as a filmmaker, and while he’s slipped a bit as of late, his films are always ones that will get this writer excited. The premise is interesting, and Lawrence always adds a bit of intrigue to a film, which is definitely one that I can’t wait for.
