Jessica Biel joins ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO
Just yesterday, we became privy to our first look at the upcoming Alfred Hitchcock-focused feature, THE GIRL, and now we’ve gotten to learn a little more about the other film in production, ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO.
Helmed by Sacha Gervasi, the film will feature Jessica Biel in the role of Vera Miles, the actress behind Lila in the iconic thriller. Sister to Marion Crane, the character would return in the PSYCHO sequel, with Miles starring in Hitch’s THE WRONG MAN as well. Pregnancy knocked her out of the lead for VERTIGO, so it will be quite interesting to see what Biel can do with this character - a woman who really seemed to catch the eye of the master of suspense.
Obviously, looking at the making of PSYCHO, the subject matter is already quite interesting. Then, you add a cast including Scarlett Johansson, James D’Arcy, Helen Mirren, and Anthony Hopkins as Hitch himself. With this killer cast, there is a great deal of potential for a film like this, and with a premise to die for, the expectations for this are incredibly high.
