Joaquin Phoenix attached to Spike Jonze’s next
Talk about a comeback.
Currently entrenched in Paul Thomas Anderson’s next film, THE MASTER, the much talked-about return of Joaquin Phoenix will be a road paved with intriguing projects, as not only will the actor follow up his return to the big screen post-MASTER with James Gray’s LOW LIFE, but according to Twitch, he’s set to work with a duo that, themselves, are getting back into the swing of things.
The outlet reports that Phoenix is attached to star in the next project from Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman. The project has yet to be titled, but will be a political satire, and is currently being set up over at WB.

While the two haven’t worked together since ADAPTATION, they themselves have grown to be even better at their own respective crafts, as has Phoenix, an actor who will be an interesting man to watch head back to the big screen. I was a huge fan of I’M STILL HERE, and now knowing that it was a fake piece of filmmaking, it gives even greater respect to that performance. Toss in Jonze and Kaufman, and you have one hell of a project.
