This thing could not be any weirder.

After nabbing both director Nick Cassavetes and actor John Travolta to lead his upcoming look at the Gotti crime family, producer Marc Fiore is slowly building one hell of a weird collection of talent for the film.

Titled GOTTI: THREE GENERATIONS, Coming Soon is reporting that, during a press conference today, it was announced that actor Joe Pesci has joined the film’s cast, with Lindsay Lohan (who was in attendance) being in talks to do the same.

GOTTI will follow the story of the Gotti family, through the eyes of John Gotti Jr., who was the one behind the project being set up in the first place. Travolta will be playing the patriarch of the family, John Gotti Sr., with Pesci tapped to play Angelo Ruggiero, a member of the family, and friend of Gotti’s. Lohan will play, if this comes to fruition, Victoria, Gotti Sr.’s daughter.

Personally, while I don’t quite know what to expect from Pesci, particularly after his last film, LOVE RANCH, didn’t nearly make the splash it had been expected to, but the idea of Lohan taking on a project like this is really interesting. I’m a big fan of hers, and one of the apparently rare breed of people who actually thinks the woman has some talent under all of that law-breaking exterior. This sounds like a perfect project to show that off.
