Over the past few years, one of the biggest hits that The Cartoon Network has called their own has been the beloved kids action/sci-fi series Ben 10, and it’s not just the kids and their parents who have noticed.

Variety is reporting that Joel Silver is set to produce a feature film take on the character. The show follows the story of a 10 year old boy who discovers a piece of technology that gives him the ability to take on the form of ten different alien entities.

Now, no writers, directors or actors have been attached, but with Silver involved, that shouldn’t be the case for too long, as there are very few producers with the level of clout that man has accumulated. This film is also being eyed as something to kickstart a film franchise surrounding this character.

I’m not super-familiar with the character or the show, but I have seen parts of the series, and I must say, it’s actually quite good. I think the action and sense of humor is solid, and it could make for an entertaining live action project. That said, I don’t have much confidence with Silver involved, as his recent track record has not been as superb as one would hope.
